Het Scheepvaartmuseum/The National Maritime Museum is now enriched with one location: Het Dek, a new terrace pontoon on the water, is located on the west side of the museum. On this floating terrace, guests can sit on the lounge sofas and enjoy a snack and a drink with a view of the activities on and along the water.

The terrace is accessible by reservation for groups of 10 people or more. It can also be rented for company drinks and receptions at a wedding. Museum visitors can use the terrace based on availability.

For National Maritime Museum visitors

Museum visitors of Het Scheepvaartmuseum/The Maritime Museum Amsterdam can use the terrace if there is no rental. They can get a drink in the café-restaurant or at the coffee corner and enjoy it on the sunny terrace by the water. Groups of ten people or more who want to use the terrace pontoon can make a reservation during office hours via or via telephone number 020 – 523 22 46. Due to the size of the pontoon, it is possible to keep a meter and a half distance.
